It was a precious moment for Cine Stars Ki Khoj contestant Akshay Nalawade when he recently had the chance to meet his idol Akshay Kumar on the show. The Bollywood star was on the show to promote his upcoming comedy flick Entertainment along with his co-star Tamannaah. Nalawade, as a background dancer, had performed quite a few times behind the Khiladi at award functions but it was his dream come true to meet him person and perform an act for him.
When Akshay Nalawade told the Khiladi that he idolises him and he was his sole inspiration to get a black-belt in Taekwondo, the actor was clearly touched. Nalawade then requested him to come on stage and teach him a few Taekwondo tricks. Akshay immediately obliged and on public demand even did a face- off in a non-contact fight with the contestant. A few kicks and punches and the Bollywood ka khiladi proved that he is the undisputed king of action, knocking Nalawade down. However, Akshay Nalwade seemed quite pleased at being knocked down by his idol.
Later, Akshay Kumar praised Nalawade for his spirited performance and even went on to say, that he seems all set to make his debut on the big screen and face the camera. Seeing the Cine Star Ki Khoj contestants go through jitters before performing on stage, learning dialogues and preparing for their act, the Bollywood celebs took a trip down memory lane. Tamannaah recollected her first shot which was for a south flick, where she had to speak in a language she was not comfortable in. Tamannaah sat inside the washroom for three hours trying to learn that dialogue and finally managed to give that shot after number of takes. Akshay reminisced how he had worked so hard on his martial arts and acting to get that one break but attributed his success predominantly to destiny. He also added that it’s important in Bollywood to be at the right place at the right time!
In a lighter moment on the sets, Akshay got all the judges and the contestants to do the signature move from his laugh riot Houseful 2 – Seeing all of them do the hilarious tongue manoeuvre, the audience was left in splits!
